The Mazak Integrex 200SY is a twin-spindle, Y-axis multitasking turn-mill center that turns, mills, drills, and taps complex parts complete in a single setup. This example runs a Mazatrol Fusion 640 / Mitsubishi control and pairs an 8-inch main spindle (35-5,000 RPM, 30 hp, A2-6 nose, 2.40-inch bore) with a 6-inch sub-spindle for done-in-one machining of both ends of a part. A live-tool milling spindle spinning to 6,000 RPM with full C-axis and Y-axis capability handles off-center milling, cross-drilling, and tapping, fed by a 40-tool automatic tool changer on a KM63 interface. The work envelope covers a 21.25-inch max swing and turning diameter with X/Z/Y travels of 20.87 / 42 / 5.5 inches, making it a compact but capable platform for high-mix, multi-operation production.
Compared with a straight two-axis CNC lathe, the Integrex 200SY collapses multiple machines and setups into one: where a conventional turning center only turns, this machine adds a full milling spindle, Y-axis, C-axis, and a second spindle, so a part that once moved from lathe to mill to a second-op lathe is finished complete in a single cycle. Against Mazak's earlier single-spindle Integrex 200Y, the SY configuration adds the synchronized sub-spindle, letting the machine hand off the part and finish the back side automatically. For a shop chasing complex, high-value turned-and-milled parts, that means fewer setups, fewer fixtures, and tighter part-to-part consistency than a multi-machine process can hold.
