The Haas ST-20Y is a CNC turning center with a reputation for simple, dependable operation that has made it a staple in job shops and production turning cells. This 2012 unit is a Y-axis lathe with a 4,000 RPM, 20 HP main spindle on an A2-6 nose with a 3.5 inch spindle bore, 2.0 inch bar capacity, and an 8 inch 3-jaw hydraulic chuck. It is rated for a 12 inch maximum cutting diameter and 21 inch maximum cutting length, with X 9.3 / Y +/-2.0 / Z 21 inch travels, 472 IPM rapids on X and Y, 945 IPM on Z, and 150 ft-lb of spindle torque.
