The Okuma Genos L3000-e MY is a CNC turning center with Y-axis and live-tool milling, part of Okuma's GENOS line, known for simple, rigid construction and dependable accuracy in job shops and production cells. This 2023 unit carries a JIS A2-8 main spindle with a 3.15 inch spindle bore, rated at 3,800 RPM and 30 HP (20-minute rating), fitted with a 10 inch 3-jaw chuck. Tooling is handled by a 12-station V12 multitasking turret with live tools rated to 6,000 RPM, and the MY configuration adds Y-axis and C-axis control so off-center milling, drilling and tapping can be completed without moving the part to a second machine. A tailstock supports long shafts and shaft-style work, and the machine is prepped with a bar feeder interface, with barfeeder link and cycle-stop functions built into the operator panel for unattended bar work. Control is the Okuma OSP-P300LA-e, with Okuma's Advanced One-Touch conversational programming and Thermo-Friendly thermal compensation designed to hold dimensional stability through temperature changes on the shop floor. Electrical service on this unit is 220V, 3-phase, 27.3 kVA. The Genos L3000-e MY is a fit for shops machining shafts, flanges, valve bodies, hydraulic components and other turned parts that also need milled flats, slots or cross holes.
Compared with Okuma's earlier GENOS L300 series, the GENOS L3000-e generation was redesigned around an integral spindle motor, which Okuma states provides increased machining capacity. Okuma also introduced highly rigid guideways for heavier cutting, a separate coolant tank and easier spindle access for maintenance, and made Advanced One-Touch programming standard so operators can build programs quickly at the control. The MY version on this machine adds Y-axis milling and live tooling on top of that updated platform, and the OSP-P300LA-e control brings the current-generation Okuma interface. For a buyer, that means a meaningfully more capable and easier-to-run turn-mill center than the older GENOS L300 models, built to complete more of the part in a single setup.
