The 2017 Fadal?VMC-2520R-II is a high-performance vertical machining centre ideal for medium-sized parts and light-duty production environments. It offers twenty-five point five inch X-axis travel, twenty inch Y-axis travel, and twenty inch Z-axis travel over a thirty-one point six inch by seventeen point seven five inch table rated to support up to nine hundred ninety pounds. Thanks to its precision roller-way design and mineral casting base, vibration is kept to a minimum, allowing fine surface finishes and positional accuracy of ±?0.0002 inch positioning and ±?0.0001 inch repeatability. The machine is controlled by Fadal’s popular 64?MP CNC platform, and includes a CAT?40 spindle capable of 10000?RPM powered by a fifteen horsepower motor.

Equipped with a twenty-four station side-mount automatic tool changer (approximately 1.5?sec tool-to-tool change), the VMC-2520R-II offers rigid tapping, spindle oil cooling, spindle air-blast, LED work lighting, and an automatic lubrication system as standard. With rapid traverse rates of approximately 1,187 IPM on X, Y and Z axes, it delivers efficient tool paths and high-speed production.
