1995 Matsuura RA-IIF CNC Vertical Machining Center

The Matsuura RA-IIF (1995) is a precision vertical machining center built for dual-pallet productivity. It offers a 23.6" x 14.9" shuttle-style pallet system with 550?lb load capacity, driven by a BT-40 spindle reaching up to 8,000?RPM powered by a 10?HP motor. Controlled via the Yasnac I-80 CNC, it features a 30-station side-mount ATC, rigid tapping, and thru-spindle coolant. Rapid traverse rates of about 945?IPM (X/Y) and 472?IPM (Z) support swift cycle times, while its rigid frame ensures accuracy and minimal deflection. Standard inclusions are chip conveyor, manual pulse generator, spindle chiller, full enclosure, and enhanced tooling features.

Compared with single-pallet VMCs, the RA-IIF’s twin-pallet shuttle system allows part loading/unloading while machining continues, significantly reducing idle time. Its specification surpasses earlier RA-IIF versions by combining faster rapids, higher spindle speed, and tooling capacity tailored to medium-complexity production environments.
