The 2020 Haas VC-400 CNC Vertical Machining Center is engineered for continuous part production with a dual-pallet changer and an efficient 22 inch by 14.5 inch work envelope. With travels of 22 inch on X, 16 inch on Y, and 20 inch on Z, it’s driven by a 30 horsepower vector spindle capable of 15000 RPM, paired with a CAT 40 taper and a 50-tool side-mount tool changer. High-speed machining features include 800 IPM rapid traverse, 500 IPM cutting feed, through-spindle coolant at 300 PSI, and advanced control via the Haas NextGen Touchscreen system. The integrated Renishaw WIPS, programmable coolant, spindle orientation, and chip conveyor are bolstered further by options like a cabinet cooler, VPS part programming, and robust probing and connectivity tools.
