The 2022 Haas VR-11 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center redefines capacity and control with a monumental 120-inch X x 40-inch Y x 42-inch Z travel envelope atop a 120" x 28" table. It’s driven by a blisteringly fast 20000 RPM HSK-A63 direct-drive spindle (24 HP) and feeds from a 50+1 side-mount tool changer with tool changes in approximately 2.8 seconds. The integrated dual-axis gimbal head provides ±120° B-axis tilt and ±245° C-axis rotation—perfect for demanding 3+2 and simultaneous 5-axis work.

Far beyond standard mills, the VR-11 is automation-ready: it incorporates through-spindle coolant, chip augers, real-time DWO/TCPC, and HaasConnect remote monitoring via its NGC platform with Ethernet/Wi-Fi. With a 95-gallon coolant tank, advanced spindle axis control and ergonomic features (like a touchscreen jog handle), it’s tailored for high-throughput, unattended multi-axis manufacturing.
