The 2012 Haas VF-1 is a compact yet capable vertical machining center featuring 20-inch X, 16-inch Y, and 20-inch Z travels, and powered by a 30 HP vector drive spindle spinning up to 8100 RPM. It includes a 20-station carousel tool changer, a 55-gallon flood coolant system, a 15" color LCD control, USB connectivity, rigid tapping, and offers high-speed 1000 IPM rapids on all axes. Standard factory support includes WIPS wireless probing, chip auger, SMTC, and 4th-axis wiring, making this compact VMC a versatile machine for complex milling.

Compared to the entry-level VF-2, the VF-1 shares the same core spindle and tool changer but occupies significantly less floor space and uses less power, making it ideal for shops needing high-performance machining in a compact footprint.
