The 2020 Fanuc D21LiB5 ADV CNC Vertical Mill delivers high-speed, high-precision performance in a compact frame with X-Y-Z travels of 27.6-inch by 15.7-inch by 15.7-inch and a table capacity of 880 pounds. Driven by a 10000 RPM Big-Plus BBT30 spindle, it delivers up to 14.2 kilowatt power at peak rating, with 21-tool capacity and fast 1.3 second tool change time for minimal cycle interruption. Its 500 inch per second rapid traverse and advanced 1.6 G acceleration on the Z-axis enable swift motion even under heavy payloads. The system is guided by Fanuc’s 31i-B5 Plus control with iHMI, combining tight <0.006 millimetre positioning accuracy and a DDR 4th axis rotary for enhanced 4-axis work.

Compared with a base Fanuc D21LiB model, the ADV variant improves tool change speed, boost spindle torque, and integrates the 31i-B5 Plus control with touchscreen iHMI interface for smoother operator interaction.
