2022 Haas VF-2SS CNC Vertical Mill w/ 5th Axis and Robot Integration

The 2022 Haas VF-2SS CNC Vertical Mill is a high-speed machining center built with 5-axis capability and full robot integration for lights-out production. Standard travels measure 30-inches in X, 16-inches in Y, and 20-inches in Z, with a 14 x 36-inch worktable equipped with three T-slots spaced at 4.92-inches and sized at 0.626–0.630-inches wide. Its inline direct-drive spindle produces 30 horsepower at 12000 RPM, supported by a 24+1 side-mount tool changer for rapid 2.4-second tool-to-tool changes. Equipped with auxiliary coolant filtration, chip strainer, pneumatic air vise, and Filtermist FX-575 mist collection, the system is designed for sustained high-speed throughput with reduced operator intervention.

Compared with the standard VF-2, the VF-2SS adds a high-speed spindle, side-mount tool changer, and advanced options such as window air blast and CT-style grippers. The integration of a 5th axis and robotics expands its versatility from prismatic work to full 5-axis part completion in one setup.
