2021 Fanuc (2) Robodrill a-D21MiB 5-adv w/ JSC-Pro Twin Cell Drawer System

The 2021 Fanuc Robodrill a-D21MiB 5-ADV Twin Cell is a high speed automated machining system built around two 10000 RPM direct drive BT30 spindles with Big Plus dual contact taper. Each machine features 21 tool bi-directional changers with 1.6 second chip to chip tool change time, Fanuc 31i-B5 iHMI control, 1000 PSI through spindle coolant, Renishaw RMP400 probing, and Blum Z Nano tool setting. Equipped with Nikken 5AX-130FA-M 5 axis indexers and full 4th and 5th axis interface, the platform supports precision multi-axis machining in a compact, high-speed footprint.

Integrated with the JSC-Pro Twin Cell Drawer Automation System and Fanuc LR Mate 200iD/7L robot, this system enables continuous production through six drawer infeed and outfeed stations. Compared to standalone vertical machining centers requiring manual loading, this twin cell configuration significantly increases spindle utilization and reduces operator dependency. The robotic handling, automatic pneumatic doors, hydraulic fixture connections, and air gap workpiece confirmation create a fully integrated production cell designed for high mix, high repeatability environments.
