2014 YCM DCV-4030B CNC 5-Axis Vertical Bridge Mill

The 2014 YCM DCV-4030B 5-AX is a full-gantry CNC bridge mill engineered for large, multi-face machining in a single setup. With 160" of X-travel and 137.8" of Y-travel, the unit handles oversized aerospace, mold, and structural work that simply will not fit on a standard VMC, while the 40" Z-travel and 122" distance between columns accommodate tall tooling and deep cavities. Its HSK-A100 10,000 RPM 60 HP spindle delivers torque for heavy steel roughing and rigidity for finishing, and the ±110° B-axis swivel paired with continuous C-axis rotation opens up true 5-axis simultaneous machining on parts up to 44,092 lbs. Fanuc 31i-CM-B5 control, a 40-station arm-type ATC, glass scales, dual augers, and a spindle chiller round out a package built for long, accurate cycles on the largest workpieces.

Compared to the earlier 3-axis YCM DCV-4030B, the 5-AX version adds the tilting B-axis head and continuous C-axis rotary table — eliminating the repeated refixturing that a straight bridge mill requires for contoured or angled features. The upgraded Fanuc 31i-CM-B5 control also brings 5-axis-specific tool-center-point control and high-speed contouring logic that the base DCV-4030B's earlier 0i-series package cannot match, and HSK-A100 tooling replaces lower-taper systems for better high-speed balance and rigidity under the heavier cutting loads typical of parts this size.
