The 2018 Southwestern Industries TRAK VMC2 is a compact, highly capable CNC vertical machining center built for precision toolroom work, prototyping, and short-run production. Powered by a 3 HP spindle turning up to 10,000 RPM through a BT30 taper, this machine delivers smooth, accurate cuts across a wide range of materials. The ProtoTRAK conversational CNC control makes programming intuitive — operators can go from print to part in minutes without G-code expertise. With travels of 14" x 12" x 17", an 18" x 15" table, and a 16-tool carousel automatic tool changer, the VMC2 handles complex multi-tool jobs without constant manual intervention.

Compared to the earlier TRAK VMC, the VMC2 introduced meaningful upgrades across the board.
