The 2003 OKK VM-7 is a heavy-duty, Japanese-built CNC vertical machining center designed for shops that demand rigidity, accuracy, and throughput on large workpieces. Built on box ways across all three axes, the VM-7 delivers exceptional vibration dampening and surface finish quality — even under aggressive cuts in hardened materials. A 20 HP CAT 50 spindle spinning to 10,000 RPM provides serious material removal capability, while the generous 60.24" x 29.13" x 25.98" travels and 61.02" x 29.13" table handle mold bases, die components, and large aerospace fixtures with room to spare. The 20-tool high-speed servo arm changer keeps cycle times tight, and the Mitsubishi Neomatic 635 control offers reliable, proven CNC operation. With a max table load of 3,306 lbs and 4th axis readiness, this machine is built for the kind of heavy, precision production work that lighter VMCs simply cannot handle.

Compared to the smaller OKK VM-5 and VM-5II models in the lineup, the VM-7 delivers a substantially larger work envelope — jumping from roughly 40" x 20" travels to over 60" x 29" — along with a heavier casting, higher table load capacity, and the CAT 50 spindle that gives it the torque advantage needed for deep pocketing and heavy face milling. The VM-7 also features faster rapid traverse rates at 945 IPM on X/Y and a more robust arm-type tool changer with 20 positions versus the 16 or fewer found on smaller OKK verticals, reducing non-cutting time and improving overall cycle efficiency.
