2008 Mazak VCN-410B CNC Vertical Machining Center

The 2008 Mazak VCN-410B is a 3-axis vertical machining center built around a 25-HP, 12,000-RPM BT40 spindle and Mazatrol Matrix Nexus conversational CNC control. With axis travels of 30.00" (X) x 16.14" (Y) x 20.08" (Z) and rapid traverse rates of 1,417 IPM across all axes, the VCN-410B delivers the speed and work envelope needed for mid-volume production of aluminum, composites, and mild steel. A 30-station arm-type automatic tool changer keeps cycle times tight, while the Renishaw OMP40 spindle probe paired with a TS27R tool length setter and MI12 machine interface module enables fully automated in-process workpiece inspection and tool measurement. This particular unit has been lightly used cutting polymer and aluminum parts for a robotics application, and it recently received a hard drive replacement, operating system reinstall, and full checkout by Mitsubishi — making it essentially turnkey for its next owner. The VCN-410B improves on the earlier VCN-410A primarily through an extended X-axis — 30.00" versus roughly 22" on the A model — and a correspondingly longer 43.31" table, giving operators significantly more room for longer workpieces and multi-fixture setups. Both machines share the same 12,000-RPM spindle platform and BT40 taper, but the B’s wider work envelope makes it far more versatile for production shops running a diverse part mix. The Matrix Nexus control on this 2008 unit also represents a generational upgrade over the Fusion 640M found on earlier VCN-410 models, delivering faster processing, a more intuitive conversational interface with Mazak Voice Advisor, and expanded networking capabilities including Ethernet and USB connectivity.
