The 2018 Haas VF-4SS is a super-speed vertical machining center built for shops that demand faster cycle times without sacrificing the generous work envelope of the VF-4 platform. Equipped with a 30 HP inline direct-drive spindle turning at 12,000 RPM, this machine delivers aggressive metal removal across a 50" x 20" x 25" travel range with rapids reaching 1,400 IPM on all axes. The 52" x 18" T-slot table supports workpieces up to 3,500 lbs, and the included Haas HRT310 4th axis rotary table opens the door to multi-sided machining and complex indexing work in a single setup. A Renishaw WIPS wireless probing system handles automated part location and tool measurement, reducing setup time and scrap.
