2018 Fanuc Robodrill a-D21MiB5ADV CNC Vertical Machining Center

This 2018 Fanuc Robodrill a-D21MiB5ADV is a small-footprint 3-axis CNC vertical machining center built for high-volume drill, tap, and small-tool work, with 19.7" x 15.7" x 12.9" XYZ travels, a 25.6" x 15.75" T-slot table, and a 24,000 RPM BT30 spindle paired with a 21-tool carousel ATC. The Advanced (ADV) generation of the Robodrill brings a more rigid bed, faster rapids, and the Fanuc 31i-B5 control with refined block lookahead, making it a natural fit for electronics, medical-device, and small-aerospace shops that need to push thousands of small parts a shift. The included Mist Buster fume collector keeps the work envelope clean and the operator station habitable through long runs.

Compared to the earlier Robodrill a-D21LiB and a-D21SiB builds, the Advanced version steps up to a more powerful spindle drive, sub-second tool-change times, and a control package that previously was only offered on Fanuc's larger machining centers. The 31i-B5 control delivers tighter contouring on multi-axis interpolated cuts than the older Series 31i-A control on prior Robodrills, and the ADV chassis is rigid enough to take harder cuts than the original Robodrill could handle in steel and stainless.
