2023 Haas VF-4 CNC Vertical Machining Center

The 2023 Haas VF-4 is a current-generation 40-taper vertical machining center built around 50 inches of X-axis travel, 20 inches of Y, and 25 inches of Z, paired with a 52 by 18 inch table that handles parts up to 4,000 pounds. The 8,100 RPM CT-40 spindle is driven by a 30 HP vector motor, and the 30+1 side-mount tool changer keeps tool-change time in the sub-second class so chip-to-chip pacing stays competitive on production work. Configured with Haas WIPS probing, 4th axis drive, programmable coolant nozzle, chip auger, mistaway, high-speed machining, and through-spindle-coolant plumbing prep, this VF-4 is ready for general job-shop and short-run production right out of the gate.

Compared to the prior-generation VF-4 running the classic Haas control, this current-gen unit runs the Haas Next Generation Control with a modern color touchscreen, faster servo response, richer macro and probing integration, and improved high-speed look-ahead that makes a real difference on 3D contouring and aggressive surfacing. The 30+1 side-mount toolchanger, P-Cool programmable nozzle, and HSM software upgrade push this VF-4 well past where the legacy VF-4 platform topped out, especially for shops running short-run molds, fixtures, and complex one-off work.
