The 2021 Hurco BX40i is a high-rigidity bridge-style 3-axis CNC vertical machining center built on a box-way base with an 18,000 RPM HSK 63A direct-drive spindle and a 40.16 x 27.56 x 19.69 inch X/Y/Z work envelope. The 41.34 x 27.56 inch table accepts up to 2,204 lb of workpiece, opening the door to large mold inserts, die plates, aerospace blanks, and precision tool steel without spilling onto a separate larger machine. Configured with on-board probing, DXF import, NC conversational merge, 3D mold cycles, swept surface, Ultipockets and Insert Pockets, Ultimotion, linear thermal compensation, and tool change optimization, this unit reads as a production-ready cell rather than a base-spec floor unit.

Compared to the earlier Hurco VMX 42i it succeeded in this size class, the BX40i brings the heavier box-way structure for hard-milling rigidity, a higher 18,000 RPM HSK 63A spindle interface for fine-tool work, and the full current-generation Hurco MAX conversational and G-code control with 3D simulation on one screen.
