2016 Okuma Genos M560V CNC Vertical Machining Center

The 2016 Okuma Genos M560V is a current-generation precision CNC vertical machining center built around a 30 HP CAT-40 BIG-PLUS spindle running to 15,000 RPM, paired with a 32-tool swing-arm changer and a 41.34 x 22.05 x 18.11 inch X/Y/Z work envelope. The 51.18 x 22.05 inch table accepts up to 1,980 lb of workpiece, while X and Y rapid traverse rates of 1,575 IPM and a Z rapid of 1,262 IPM keep cycle times tight on production batches. Combined with the Okuma OSP-P300M control, this unit is positioned as a workhorse mid-size VMC for mold inserts, fixture plates, aerospace blanks, and precision tool steel work.

Compared to the older Okuma MB-56VA it succeeded in this size class, the Genos M560V brings the modern OSP-P300M control with One-Touch IGF conversational programming, Okuma Thermo-Friendly thermal stability, faster look-ahead, and a refreshed CAT-40 BIG-PLUS spindle interface for stiffer high-speed cutting. The result is a tighter, more production-ready precision VMC than the MB-56VA platform could deliver out of the box, while retaining the Okuma-built spindle, ways, and control package that defines the line's reliability.
