2019 Haas VF-4SS CNC Vertical Mill

The 2019 Haas VF-4SS is a Super Speed series vertical machining center built for high-output production. It pairs 50 inches of X travel, 20 inches of Y travel, and 25 inches of Z travel with a 12,000 RPM CAT-40 inline direct-drive spindle, a 30 HP vector drive, and 1,400 IPM rapid traverse rates on all axes. The 52 by 18 inch table, programmable and thru-spindle coolant, side-mount tool changer, and Haas control with Ethernet, high-speed machining, helical interpolation, rigid tapping, and macros make it a turnkey production platform. A Midaco automatic pallet changer adds two-pallet workflow on a standalone footprint.

Compared to the standard Haas VF-4 (the predecessor that runs an 8,100 RPM 40-taper spindle and roughly 710 IPM rapids), the VF-4SS adds the Super Speed package - a 12,000 RPM inline direct-drive spindle, beefed-up servo motors, and 1,400 IPM rapids - which cuts non-cut time and pushes usable spindle speed for high-feed and small-tool work. The Midaco automatic pallet changer further differentiates this unit from a base VF-4 by enabling pallet swaps and reducing load/unload downtime on production runs.
