2019 Haas VF-10/50 CNC Vertical Machining Center w/ HRT450

The Haas VF-10/50 is a 50-taper vertical machining center with a reputation for rugged dependability that has made the VF series a staple in large-part and mold shops across North America. This 2019 example pairs an extra-large work envelope - 120" of X travel, 32" in Y, and 30" in Z over a 28" x 120" table - with a 30 HP, 7,500 RPM CAT 50 spindle driven through a 2-speed gearbox for heavy roughing and high-torque cutting in tough materials. Tool changes run through a 30+1 side-mount tool changer, and the machine is equipped with a Haas HRT450 4th-axis rotary table, high-speed machining, rigid tapping, programmable coolant, through-spindle coolant, and a 300 psi high-pressure coolant system. Renishaw probing and linear scales support accurate setups and closed-loop positioning, while the Haas CNC control keeps programming and operation straightforward on the shop floor.

Compared to earlier VF-10 machines built before Haas introduced its Next Generation Control, this 2019 VF-10/50 is a meaningfully better machine, not just a newer one. The Next Generation Control brings a faster processor, a larger high-resolution display, greatly expanded program memory, and built-in USB and Ethernet over the classic Haas control found on older VF-10 units, making large mold and die programs easier to manage. The 2-speed gearbox and 50-taper spindle deliver more usable low-end torque than the 40-taper configurations that earlier and smaller VF machines often shipped with, and integrated high-speed machining improves surface finish and cycle times on complex 3D work. Add the factory HRT450 4th-axis, linear scales, and Renishaw probing, and this VF-10/50 gives a shop true large-envelope, multi-sided capability that previous-generation VF-10 machines simply could not deliver.
