2017 DMC DM 52VL CNC Vertical Machining Center

The DMC DM 52VL is a three-axis CNC vertical machining center built by FFG DMC with a reputation for rigid, dependable performance in production machine shops. This 2017 example runs a Fanuc 0i-MF control and offers travels of 40.2 x 20.5 x 20.1 inch over a 43.3 x 20.5 inch worktable rated for workpieces up to 1,323 lb. Power comes from a 20 HP No. 40 Big Plus spindle turning up to 8,000 RPM, fed by rapid traverse rates near 1,417 IPM for fast, accurate cycle times. A 30-tool automatic tool changer keeps multi-operation jobs running with minimal setup, and this unit adds a fourth-axis rotary package, flood coolant, related tooling, and a chip conveyor for extended unattended runs.

Compared with the earlier DM 50V in the same DMC DM series, the DM 52VL stretches the working envelope and table length so longer parts and multi-part fixtures fit in a single setup, while keeping the 20 HP No. 40 spindle and 30-station tool magazine that make it a true production machine rather than a light-duty mill.
