The 2025 Haas UMC-400SS is a compact Super Speed 5-axis universal machining center built for complete, single-setup machining of complex parts. It pairs a 15,000 RPM 40-taper spindle with a 230 mm integrated 2-axis trunnion rotary table, 17 x 11 x 13 inch travels, 1,200 ipm rapids, and a high-speed 30-station side-mount tool changer, all under the Haas Next Generation Control. As a current-generation, near-new machine, it fits true 5-axis capability into a 7 by 7 foot footprint that drops into nearly any shop.

Compared to the standard Haas UMC-400, the SS model steps the spindle up from 8,100 to 12,000 RPM and increases rapid traverse for shorter cycle times, while adding the high-speed side-mount tool changer. This unit goes a step further with the 15,000 RPM spindle upgrade, making it especially well suited to high-rpm work with small-diameter tooling in aluminum and other materials where the standard UMC-400 would give up speed and finish.
