2021 Doosan DNM-4500S CNC Vertical Machining Center

The Doosan DNM 4500 is a 40-taper CNC vertical machining center with a reputation for rigidity and value that has made the DNM line a staple in production and job-shop environments. This 2021 example offers X/Y/Z travels of 31.5 x 17.7 x 20.1 inches over a 39.4 x 17.7 in table rated for 1320 lb, driven by a 15,000 RPM CAT40 spindle with a 15 HP drive and served by a 30-tool side-mount changer with 1417 ipm rapids. It runs a Fanuc 0i-MC control with thru-spindle coolant and a chip conveyor, and includes a Tsudakoma RWE-160 4th-axis rotary table for indexed and simultaneous machining of complex parts in a single setup.

Compared to the earlier Doosan DNM 450 it succeeds, the DNM 4500 is a meaningfully more capable machine, not just a newer one. The current-generation DNM grew the work envelope with longer X-axis travel, added faster spindle options up to 15,000 RPM, and moved to a stiffer cast base and updated Fanuc control for better accuracy and surface finish.
