2022 Haas UMC-750SS CNC 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center

The Haas UMC-750SS is a 5-axis universal machining center with a reputation for affordable done-in-one productivity that has made the UMC line a staple in shops moving into simultaneous 5-axis and 3+2 work. Built by Haas Automation, this 2022 Super Speed machine combines 30 x 20 x 20 inch travels with an integrated high-speed trunnion that tilts +110 to -35 degrees on the A-axis and rotates a full 360 degrees on the C-axis, positioning a 630 x 500 mm T-slot platter for multi-sided parts in a single setup. The 15,000 RPM, 30 HP inline direct-drive spindle and CAT-40 taper deliver high-speed cutting in aluminum and steel, fed by a 70-pocket side-mount tool changer and 1,200 IPM rapids. The machine runs the current-generation Haas control.

Compared to the standard Haas UMC-750, this Super Speed (SS) model is a meaningful step up. Where the base UMC-750 uses an 8,100 RPM geared spindle and slower rapids, the UMC-750SS adds a 15,000 RPM inline direct-drive spindle, a high-speed trunnion with 150 degree-per-second rotary rapids, and faster linear rapids, cutting cycle times on high-RPM aluminum and detailed 5-axis work. Combined here with an expanded 70-pocket tool changer for large tool libraries and lights-out runs, this 2022 SS delivers near-new 5-axis capability and throughput at a used-equipment price.
