2018 Brother Speedio M140X2 CNC 5-Axis Mill-Turn Center

The 2018 Brother Speedio M140X2 is a compact 5-axis multi-tasking machining center that brings high-speed milling and turning together in a single chucking, removing the handoff between a lathe and a machining center. It pairs a fast BT30 milling spindle running up to 16,000 RPM with a dedicated 2,000 RPM turning spindle, a tilting A-axis covering -30 to +120 degrees, and a full 360 degree C-axis turning table, while a 22-tool magazine changes tools in as little as 0.9 seconds across 7.9 x 17.3 x 12.0 inch travels on 50 m/min rapids. Fitted with a Renishaw OMP40 spindle probe and a Blum tool setter, it is built to machine complex turned-and-milled parts such as pump bodies, manifolds, and automotive components with high accuracy and high throughput.

Compared with the first-generation M140X1 it replaces, the M140X2 stiffens both the tilt axis and the turning spindle for a better overall rigidity balance, adds a backlashless roller-gear A-axis that allows clampless, high-speed, high-accuracy indexing, and introduces Brother's double plunger lock to firmly secure turning tools for more stable, more aggressive turning cuts.
