The DN Solutions SVM5100L is a high-productivity vertical machining center with a reputation for fast, dependable metal removal that has made the SVM Swift line a staple in aluminum and light-alloy production shops. This 2024 unit delivers travels of 50 x 20 x 20 inch, a 12,000 RPM #40 (CAT40) direct-coupled spindle rated at 25 HP, and rapid traverse rates of 1417 IPM across all axes for short cycle times. The 52 x 20 inch table handles workpieces up to 1,764 lb, while a 30-tool arm-type automatic tool changer swaps tools in roughly 1.3 seconds to keep the spindle cutting. It comes equipped with an RWE-160 4th-axis rotary table for multi-face work, through-spindle coolant, an LNS Turbo chip conveyor, a Mistaway mist collector, and probing - a complete, production-ready package configured for demanding aluminum and stainless machining.

Compared to the earlier Doosan DNM-series vertical machining centers it succeeds, the SVM5100L is engineered specifically for high-speed machining of lightweight materials. Where the DNM 5700 and similar prior models were built as general-purpose workhorses, the SVM Swift platform introduces markedly higher axis acceleration and deceleration rates, a fast 1.3-second tool-to-tool changer, and an extended 50-inch X-axis travel that opens up longer parts and multi-part fixturing the older DNM envelope could not accommodate. The result is more spindle-in-cut time, tighter cycle times, and higher throughput on aluminum and light-alloy work - a meaningfully more capable machine than the generation before it, now available at used-market value.
