2006 Fadal VMC 2216 CNC Vertical Machining Center

The 2006 Fadal VMC 2216 is a compact, rigid CNC vertical machining center well suited to small-to-medium precision parts. It combines 22 x 16 x 20 in (X/Y/Z) travels with a 15,000 rpm CAT40 spindle, air-oil spindle lubrication, a 21-tool umbrella changer, and an integrated 4th-axis rotary for multi-face machining in a single setup, all driven by the Fadal CNC control with rigid tapping and USB program loading and drip feed. All three ball screws were replaced in 2022, and a spindle chiller helps hold thermal stability through longer runs, making it a turnkey platform for a job shop or a growing prototype cell.

Compared to a base 10,000 rpm Fadal 2216, this unit steps up to a 15,000 rpm CAT40 spindle and adds a 4th axis, air-oil lubrication, and rigid tapping, expanding it from straightforward 3-axis milling into faster, more versatile 4-axis work.
