The Haas UMC-500 is a compact 5-axis universal machining center with a reputation for accessible simultaneous machining that has made the UMC series a go-to for shops moving from 3-axis into full 5-axis work. This 2019 unit combines travels of 24 x 16 x 16 in (X/Y/Z) with an integrated tilting-rotary trunnion - a 15.7 in platter rated to 500 lb with B-axis tilt from +35 to -120 degrees and 360-degree C-axis rotation - so complex parts can be machined on five sides in a single setup. A 30 HP, 8,100 RPM inline spindle with a CT40 taper drives the cutting, backed by 900 IPM rapids and a 30+1 side-mount tool changer.
