The 2022 DN Solutions DVF-6500 is a simultaneous 5-axis vertical machining center built around a 25.6 inch (650 mm) trunnion-style 2-axis tilting table that carries workpieces up to 1,323 lb (600 kg) through full B and C motion. Linear travels are 29.5 x 30.9 x 23.6 inch (750 x 785 x 600 mm) with rapid traverse of 1,772 ipm (45 m/min) on X, Y, and Z, and the rotary axes index at 25 rpm on B and 50 rpm on C. This unit carries the 18,000-rpm spindle option in place of the 12,000-rpm standard, rated 30/25 hp (22/18.5 kW) on a CAT 40 taper, and a 60-position automatic tool changer in place of the 40-station standard magazine. It runs a Fanuc 31i-B5 Plus control with DN Solutions EZ Work software, and comes equipped with a Renishaw wireless probe system, through-spindle coolant, chip conveyor, two-station fixture clamp/unclamp, SKF centralized lubrication, a hydraulic unit, and a spindle cooling system. Set against the DVF 5000 that sits below it in the same DVF family, the DVF-6500 is a materially bigger and faster machine. The rotary table grows from 500 mm to 650 mm and the workpiece it will carry climbs from 882 lb to 1,323 lb, so parts that had to be split or fixtured creatively on the 5000 mount whole here. Travels open up across the board - X from 25 to 29.5 inch, Y from 18 to 30.9 inch, and Z from 16 to 23.6 inch - and that Y-axis gain in particular is what lets a full trunnion swing clear at steep tilt angles. Rapids rise from 1,575 ipm to 1,772 ipm, and the rotary axes are quicker too: B moves at 25 rpm against the 5000's 20 rpm, and C at 50 rpm against 20 rpm, which compounds across every index on a multi-face part. The standard magazine steps from 30 tools to 40, and this particular machine goes further to 60, enough to keep several part families resident at once and run lights-out between setups. For a buyer, that is a 5-axis envelope that stops dictating which jobs can be quoted.
