2022 Haas TM-0P CNC Toolroom Mill w/ HRT100

The Haas TM-0P is a 40-taper CNC toolroom mill built around the kind of straightforward, dependable operation that has made the Haas TM-P series a fixture in tool rooms, prototype shops, and small production cells. It carries travels of 20 x 12 x 16 inches with spindle nose to table clearance from 4 to 20 inches, and a 38.4 x 10.5 inch table offering a 30.5 inch work area, three T-slots on 4.00 inch centers, and a 350 lb maximum load. The belt-drive 40-taper spindle turns to 6,000 RPM, delivers 7.5 HP, and produces 33 ft-lbs of torque at 1,200 RPM, accepting CT or BT 40 tooling. Rapids run 400 IPM on X, Y, and Z, with maximum cutting feed also at 400 IPM. A 10-pocket carousel automatic tool changer handles tools up to 3.5 inches in diameter and 12 lbs, swapping tool to tool in 5.7 seconds and chip to chip in 6.5 seconds. This unit is equipped with a Haas HRT100 rotary table plus 4th-axis drive and wiring, Haas WIPS wireless probing, high speed machining, and rigid tapping. The Haas control runs conversational programming alongside standard G-code, the machine needs only 4 SCFM at 100 PSI of shop air, and it operates on single-phase or three-phase power.

Set against the earlier Haas TM-0, the TM-0P is a materially different machine on the shop floor rather than simply a later build. The TM-0 tops out at a slower spindle speed, moves at markedly lower rapids, and carries no automatic tool changer at all, so every tool change is a manual stop at the spindle. The TM-0P answers all three: the 6,000 RPM spindle, 400 IPM rapids on all three axes, and the 10-pocket carousel ATC together collapse cycle time on any part that needs more than one or two tools and let a single operator start a job and step away from it. Add the HRT100 fourth axis and WIPS probing already fitted here, and the setup work that used to eat a morning - indicating parts in, flipping fixtures, hand-checking offsets - compresses into a probe cycle and a rotary index. For a shop stepping up from manual milling, or one looking to free a full VMC for longer runs, the TM-0P covers more work per setup and covers it faster, on the same 40-taper tooling and the same easy-to-learn Haas control.

About This Machine

The jobs you have been quoting around - the fourth-axis fixture, the probed setup, the part that needs one more operation - are exactly the work this TM-0P was configured to take on. It is a simple, field-proven 40-taper platform with a 6,000 RPM spindle, a 10-pocket automatic tool changer, an HRT100 rotary, and WIPS probing already on the machine, so you can set up faster, hold size with less hand-checking, and quote work you used to send out.
