2025 Haas VF-2SS 4-Axis CNC Vertical Machining Center w/ HRT160

The Haas VF-2SS is a Super-Speed CNC vertical machining center with a reputation for dependable high-rpm performance that has made the VF series a staple in job shops and production floors. This 4-axis machine offers 30 x 16 x 20 inch travels (X/Y/Z), a 12,000-RPM inline direct-drive 40-taper (CAT 40) spindle driven by a 30 hp vector drive, and a high-speed 30+1 side-mount tool changer for fast, rigid tool changes. It comes configured with an HRT160 rotary table for 4th-axis work, high-pressure through-spindle coolant rated to 300 psi, rigid tapping, high-speed machining, and the Haas Next Generation Control with a widescreen touchscreen interface, WiFi, and Ethernet networking, running on 208-240V three-phase power.

As the Super-Speed evolution of the standard Haas VF-2, the VF-2SS is a meaningful step up from its predecessor. Where the base VF-2 runs a 10,000-RPM spindle and a slower carousel-style tool changer, the VF-2SS moves to a 12,000-RPM inline direct-drive spindle, faster rapids, and a high-speed side-mount tool changer that sharply cuts non-cut time. Paired with 4th-axis rotary capability from the HRT160, the VF-2SS lets a shop hold tighter cycle times on complex, multi-sided parts and take on work the older VF-2 completes more slowly - a better machine, not just a newer one.
