The Haas VF-4SS is a Super Speed 40-taper vertical machining center with a reputation for dependable, no-nonsense metal cutting that has made the VF series a staple in job shops, tool rooms, and production floors across North America. This VF-4SS offers travels of 50 x 20 x 25 inches (X/Y/Z), a 12,000-RPM inline direct-drive CAT40 spindle rated at 30 HP, and rapids of 1,400 ipm on all axes for fast cycle times. The 52 x 19.5 inch table carries up to 1,750 lb, and tool changes run through a 30+1 pocket high-speed side-mount tool changer. The machine is equipped with factory 4th- and 5th-axis drive and wiring for future rotary expansion, through-spindle coolant at 300 psi, programmable coolant, a coolant filter, a chip auger, and high-intensity lighting. It runs the current-generation Haas Next Generation Control (NGC) with Ethernet networking, High-Speed Machining, and rigid tapping.
