The Haas VF-2SSYT is a super-speed vertical machining center with a reputation for simple, dependable operation that has made the VF Series a staple in job shops, aerospace, medical, and general production environments. This 2015 unit is configured as a 5-axis machine with a Haas T5C3 tilting 3-head 5C rotary table and 4th and 5th axis drives with wiring, letting it index and tilt three collet-held parts at once for multi-sided work in a single setup. The VF-2SS raised spindle speed and rapids and added the side-mount changer, but kept the 16 inch Y axis and narrower table. The VF-2SSYT combines the super-speed spindle, 1,400 ipm rapids, and side-mount ATC with a 20 inch Y axis and an 18 inch wide table, giving more room for fixtures, vises, and rotary tables like the T5C3 without giving up cycle-time speed. For a buyer, that means faster tool changes and rapids, a larger usable work zone, and a ready path into 5-axis indexing work on a proven Haas platform - a meaningfully better machine, not just a newer one.
