The Haas VF-2SS is a Super-Speed CNC vertical machining center with a reputation for dependable, high-throughput performance that has made it a staple in job shops, contract manufacturers, and production cells across North America. This 2021 Haas VF-2SS 3-axis VMC offers X 30 / Y 16 / Z 20 inch travels over a 36 x 14 inch T-slot table rated for 1,500 lb, driven by a 12,000 RPM, 30 HP inline direct-drive 40-taper (CAT40) spindle that is rated for 90 ft-lbf of torque at 2,000 RPM. Rapid traverse is rated at 1,400 ipm on all three axes with a maximum cutting feed of 833 ipm, and the high-speed 30+1 side-mount tool changer is rated for 1.8 second tool-to-tool and 2.4 second chip-to-chip changes.
