The Haas VF-6/50 is a large-frame CNC vertical machining center with a reputation for straightforward operation and dependable output that has made it a fixture in job shops and production floors handling big parts. This 2008 unit is a 3-axis machine with X 64 / Y 32 / Z 30 inch travels over a 64 x 28 inch table, giving it room for long plates, multi-part fixtures, and tall workpieces in a single setup. The spindle takes 50-taper tooling and is driven by a 30 HP spindle motor, a combination the VF-6/50 is designed around for heavy roughing, large face mills, and deep pocketing in steel, cast iron, and aluminum.
