2020 Doosan DNM 5700 CNC Vertical Machining Center with 4th-Axis Rotary

The Doosan DNM 5700 is a CNC vertical machining center with a reputation for rigid, dependable everyday performance that has made it a staple in job shops and production cells. This 2020 unit is configured as a 4-axis machine with a Tsudakoma RWE-160R full 4th-axis NC rotary table. The DNM 5700 is designed with X 41.3 / Y 22.4 / Z 20.1 inch travels over a 51.2 x 22.4 inch table rated for 2,205 lbs. Its 12,000 RPM CAT40 spindle is rated at 24.8 HP (18.5 kW on the FANUC drive), and rapid traverse rates of 1,417 IPM in X and Y and 1,181 IPM in Z are built to keep non-cutting time short. A 30-tool side-mount automatic tool changer is rated for 1.2 second tool-to-tool and 3.2 second chip-to-chip changes. The DNM 5700 succeeded the Doosan DNM 500 II and the earlier DNM 500 in the DNM vertical lineup, and it improves on both. Compared with the DNM 500 II, the DNM 5700 is designed with longer X and Y travels and a longer, wider table, giving more room for multi-part fixtures and for a rotary table mounted alongside a vise. It also carries the Doosan-Fanuc i control platform, a more modern operator interface than the conventional Fanuc controls fitted to earlier DNM machines. For a buyer, that adds up to a larger usable work zone, a newer control, and a 4th-axis package already in place, a meaningfully more capable machine than the earlier DNM models rather than simply a later one.
